Music lover, record collector, acclaimed graphic designer and art director at Iguapop and Uptight 65, for some time now Carles Closa aka Txarly Brown has also been a catalyst of the rumba resurgence that is taking Barcelona by storm. He runs the already classic Rumba Club (now at Apolo 2 on Wednesdays), hosts the weekly program "Achilifunk Radio Show" on Radio Gladys Palmera, and has been the official spokesman for the Rumba Catalana Platform since December 2008. Even the gypsies admit that Txarly is the "payo" who knows most about rumba... At Sonar he will launch the second volume of the compilation "Achilifunk", a new, personal depiction of Rumba as it is today, ready to go international.
