"Introducing" is a BBC platform exclusively for raising the profile of emerging musical ideas. It is open to all types of sounds and is part of Radio 1's long-standing tradition of unearthing new music. Huw Stephens, the programme's presenter, is interested in discovering new names and new sounds, and this also takes in his other professional facets, such as curating festivals, acting as a serial DJ at many events, or compiling albums such as “Music Sounds Better with Huw: Volume 1”, released on Wichita Recordings.
