They burst onto the Spanish scene five years ago with an unusual and different approach using the new means of digital distribution, and combined their pop spirit, folk influences and their interest in the new and ways of working in the twenty-first century. With a carefully designed aesthetic (which uses visuals by in Asmàtikin their live shows), this sextet from Esparreguera has received awards and an excellent reception from the critics thanks to their concern for detail and a highly personal sound, in which any object that comes to hand can become a tailor-made instrument. At Sonar, they will be presenting “Himalaya,” their album for the Error! Lo-Fi net label, adapted especially for the occasion.
